The Amherst Family Health Clinic is striving to meet the health care needs in our community by providing excellence in care and by improving access to care. We currently have 4 family physicians and 1 specialist. We have three Registered Nurses. We also offer an After Hours Clinic which is open to the general public.
What should you do if currently have no family physician?
Every citizen of our country deserves to have adequate access to high quality health care services. Currently we are experiencing a shortage of physicians and nurses in our communities and this is making it challenging for some people to get their health care needs met.
If you have no family physician you are welcome to use our After Hours Clinic which is open Monday thru Thursday to the general public. You can come in to the After Hours Clinic or call to make an appointment after 5pm each day. The phone number is 667-4033.
We do have Family Practice Nurses that are trained and certified to complete pap smear training. This service is available to any woman who needs a pap smear completed. Just call the Amherst Family Health Clinic at 667-3330 between 9-12 and 1-4pm any day Monday thru Friday to book your appointment.
If you are looking for a Family Physician, you may leave your name and phone number with our staff . When we have new physicians come to Amherst our staff can call you to let you know.
